Wake Forest Charter Academy Receives Top Academic Award

National Heritage Academies (NHA®), one of the nation’s largest charter school management companies, honored its top performing schools, including Wake Forest Charter Academy, during its 17th Annual Eagle Awards ceremony.

The event was held in July in Grand Rapids, Mich., with more than 500 principals and deans in attendance as part of a four-day Leadership Summit.

Wake Forest Charter Academy was awarded Eagel Awards for being a School of Excellence and for Staff Engagement. The School of Excellence award is for superior performance in academic achievement and full enrollment for the 2016-17 school year.

This is a wonderful honor to win from National Heritage Academies,” said Principal Amanda C. Brown. “Academic Excellence and Staff Engagement is a vital part of our culture at Wake Forest Charter Academy and we truly believe that happy teachers make happy students and that is the key to academic success! I am grateful to accept these awards on behalf of our entire team.”

NHA rewards schools in other areas including Schools of Excellence, employee engagement, student attendance, and state accountability.
