During the annual Wake Forest Charter Academy Fall Festival, Principal Amanda Brown was the target of the school fundraiser.
For $5, elementary and middle school students, parents, siblings, and members of the community could dish out flying desserts for the Pie the Principal event.
The festival was held during curriculum night, which meant the teachers and deans were not available to take a turn, Deondra Jones, special education teacher at Wake Forest, explained.
“Principal Brown is certainly a trooper because she was a victim of the pie throwing with no hair or eye protection,” said Jones. “Talk about dedication!”
