Pembroke Academy students continue to excel in the classroom, achieving academic gains not seen by any other Michigan school over the past four years. In addition to earning “A” letter grades for student growth and performance, 92% of eighth-graders were proficient on the state test in English Language Arts in 2022-23. The year prior, 2021-22, 100% of eighth-graders were proficient in ELA. Even more notable is that Pembroke Academy outperformed 94% of schools in Michigan on the 2022-23 state test. It also was ranked the #1 school in Detroit for 2021-22, according to the Michigan School Index.

Pembroke Academy has carved out its niche for placing student achievement and parental partnership at the top of its list of goals and educators there are receiving accolades for their success. Pembroke is a Safe School
Ensuring a safe school environment is crucial for the well-being and development of students, staff, and the broader school community. Pembroke Academy received the NHA Safety Award for the 2023-24 school year for achieving the highest ratings for safety on both the parent and staff surveys. We completed all required safety drills, and participated in the 2023-24 NHA Safety Week, a week set aside to educate staff and students on safety at school.
