Students donned wigs, shower caps, moustaches, shawls, and fake glasses while others used canes and walkers to get around their classrooms.
“Boy did they really look and play the part!” Pembroke Dean of Lower Elementary Salwa Kinsey said. “Students and our Pembroke families have so much fun with this each year.”
Students were also expected to complete homework where they made creations to represent the number 100 in various ways. Some created poster boards with 100 items taped to them, while one girl made a colorful centipede with 100 legs.
“We celebrate this day each year with our youngest scholars in Young 5s, kindergarten, and first grades,” Kinsey said. “As you can see, it brought intentional focus to learning of the value of 100, but also brought so much joy to our day.”
