The event, first held during the summer of 2020, helps create positive relationships within the community and is open to all children whether they attend PCA or not, Paragon Senior Admissions Representative Michelle White said.
“We have been hosting the backpack event for four years,” she said. “To date, the school has provided the backpacks and supplies offered to families in the Jackson community, regardless of what school a student attends.”
The backpack event is just one of many held at PCA throughout the summer. Earlier this year the school held a Ninja Camp, nature hike, mobile petting zoo, and art events. Still to come before school starts is a visit to the Ella Sharp Museum. Pairing summer opportunities like these with the high-quality education scholars receive throughout the school year is one reason why Paragon has outperformed the local districts for the past 13 years.
“Our Panther summer events offer both new and returning families an opportunity to connect with the school and one another during the summer months,” White said. “Building and maintaining connections within the school community during the time away from our physical building is important because it helps to sustain relationships among all individuals involved.”
Families who stopped by for a backpack also enjoyed a Kona Ice treat, and kids enjoyed time on the playground.
Great work connecting with the community, Paragon!
