Pioneer Experience: Students spent a week living like a pioneer, no electronics, traditional chores, and more.
Photography: Learn the basics of digital photography. Practice by photographing different aspects of Michigan.
Hands-On Helpers: Service project each day including In the Image, Clark retirement home, and younger students in the classroom.
Michigan’s Natural Wonders: Experience Michigan parks including White Pine Trail, P.J. Hoffmaster, Millennium Park, and Sleeping Bear Dunes. Students will also help clean up the parks.
All Around the World: Eating, creating, and learning cultures around the world.
Cake Decorating: Baking, making decorators icing, filling a cake, and using fondant. Students also visited a local bakery.
Michigan Food from Michigan Farms: Learn about local and sustainable agriculture. Learn to bake with Michigan ingredients.
Survivor: A week of challenging yourself outdoors.
Sherlock Holmes: Learn about forensics and crime scene investigations.
Fishing Michigan: Learn how to identify freshwater fish, techniques to catch fish, and different types of fish in Michigan waters. Trip to the Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery.
Discover Michigan: Look inside Michigan cities. Daily scavenger hunt through some cities that may not be your normal stomping grounds.
Science to Career: Visit real scientist and learn how they use science every day. Included a trip to WZZM13, Meijer, and Bissell.
