Admissions Representative Mary Funderburk said families hosted tables where guests could try food from different countries while international food trucks provided additional options.

“We had different community partners that came out and offered fun activities,” she said. “Art Teacher Jeanne Laney offered some fun activities for the kids, and we had a photo booth, and the chorus performed as well.”

Scholars who chose to participate designed posters representing countries of their choice and were displayed throughout the hallways. The projects were judged and the winners received prizes.

Families danced to music from different cultures and two international-themed gift baskets were raffled off. The event was open to the entire community and the school is planning to pair the two festivities together again next year.
