Greiner is a lifelong learner with a passion for growth. After earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oakland University, he is now taking his education even further, pursuing a Ph.D. at Eastern Michigan University.
As a principal, Greiner enjoys connecting with students, families, and staff. One of his favorite parts of the day is greeting students during arrival and dismissal. “The students make every day amazing as they come in and give hugs and fist bumps,” he shares.
Greiner believes it’s crucial to prepare students for an ever-changing world. He focuses on creating an environment focused on high expectations, continuous growth, and gratitude. He’s also a firm believer in the power of parental involvement, calling it a key ingredient for student success. “When parents and families are in the building, students work even harder to be their best selves,” he explains. “Parental involvement also builds strong relationships between home and school.”
One of his favorite Moral Focus virtues is gratitude. "As a principal, I share things that I am grateful for professionally and personally. It’s important to instill this virtue in our students to ensure that they are expressing their appreciation for the things they have in their own lives, at school and at home.”
For Greiner, gratitude serves as the foundation for his vision for every student. He hopes every child enjoys their childhood, uses their imagination, gets the education they deserve, and grows into a responsible citizen.
Outside of school, Greiner enjoys running, camping, and antiquing, especially when it comes to collecting sports memorabilia. This year, he completed his first marathon and runs at least one race a month!
