North Oak Academy Construction Progress
North Oak Academy, located in Durham, will open in the Fall of 2025 offering grades K-5, adding one grade per year through grade eight. In the months leading up to opening, we will be hard at work constructing a building to house our amazing scholars, teachers, and staff. Regular construction updates will be posted below. Temporary electricity service is in place and we're ready to transfer to permanent power.

February 20, 2025 Update
Construction at North Oak is moving along smoothly! The roofing is finished, and we're installing the gutters now. Inside, all the framing is complete, and insulation work is in progress. The retention pond concrete is done, which is a big step forward. Site work is ongoing, and we're also starting offsite work. For electricity, temporary service is in place, and we're getting ready to switch to permanent power. Floor polishing is about to begin soon. We are on schedule!
January 13, 2025 Update
Construction at North Oak Academy is moving along well and staying on schedule. The roofing is currently being installed, and work on the interior and exterior framing is ongoing. Crews are also working on the concrete for the retention pond, which is an important part of the site. Other site work is continuing to prepare the area. We are excited to see steady progress as the school takes shape!

The crew has also been completing lots of general site work to prepare for other important features like a parking lot and playground!
