Our School Safety Framework

Providing a safe environment at school involves a lot more than practicing drills and having emergency plans. While those are important, they're just a small part of what we do to keep everyone safe and sound. Our safety framework covers everything we strive to provide students so they feel secure while they're learning, eating lunch, and playing on the playground.

Operations Support

From school meals to arrival and dismissal plans, our students' health & safety are considered first in all school operations.

Physical Safety

All doors are kept locked throughout the school day. All visitors are required to check in through the school office and wear a visitor's badge while at the school.

Mental, Behavioral, & Physical Health

We strive to support students in a holistic way by providing resources to meet their mental and physical health needs.

Training

We provide extensive safety training to all staff and students. Training includes emergency protocols, drills, and other safety procedures.

Community & Wellness

We connect families to essential resources for all students, including those experiencing homelessness or in foster care, through meaningful partnerships, food assistance and other community resources.

Emergency Management

Our school is equipped with an emergency plan and a crisis response team. This team is trained above and beyond other school employees and is in place to respond to critical emergency situations.
