Grand River Academy was recently a recipient of the 2019 Best of Livonia Awards in the Elementary Schools category by the Livonia Award Program.
The Livonia Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Livonia area. Recognition is given to companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.
“Grand River is a diverse learning community that provides an exceptionally safe, engaging, and rigorous environment for our scholars,” said Mallory Harbitz, dean of intervention and ELL at Grand River.
Each year, the Livonia Award Program identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Livonia Award Program and through data provided by third parties.
“Teachers and staff work hard to build and maintain a family environment in which all stakeholders feel valued and have room to thrive,” said Harbitz. “In addition, our Moral Focus curriculum instills values which translate to success in the real world.”
