Excel Charter Academy was awarded two Eagle Awards for the 2022-23 school year by National Heritage Academies. We were awarded the Schools of Excellence Eagle Award for our superior performance in academics and enrollment, and the State Accountability Eagle Award for achieving state test results at or above the 90th percentile.

Excel Charter Academy was named a Top Ten Charter Elementary and Middle School in Michigan by Niche, an organization that specializes in data and rankings. Excel's elementary and middle schools were ranked third among charter schools in the Grand Rapids area and were given an overall grade of A.

Excel Charter Academy was recognized as a Michigan Reward School by the Michigan Department of Education for the 2022-23 school year.

Excel Receives Three Eagle Awards
National Heritage Academies awarded Excel Charter Academy with Student Attendance, Student Enrollment, and Parent Satisfaction Eagle Awards for the 2023-24 school year. We were recognized for student attendance because of our excellent student attendance, student enrollment because of our strong enrollment numbers, and parent satisfaction because at least 90% of parents stated they were satisfied on the spring 2024 parent survey.

NHA Shines: Stanford's CREDO Study Shows Our Students Surpass Their Peers by 3.5 Months Each Year
A recent Stanford study shows NHA partner-school students continue to outperform their traditional public school peers. They do so by gaining nearly three-and-a-half months of additional learning.
