Dress Code
Below is the approved dress code for the 2024-25 school year. The dress code at Brooklyn Excelsior Charter School is flexible, affordable, and designed to encourage student success. With less distractions and competition, our scholars can focus better in school.
K-5 Students
Tops
- Long or short-sleeve white collared shirt
- Shirts may be embroidered with school logo
- Students may also wear solid white or navy blue sweaters and vests
Bottoms
- Solid khaki dress bottoms
6-8 Students
Tops
- Long or short-sleeve light blue collared shirt
- Shirts may be embroidered with school logo
- Students may also wear solid navy blue sweaters, vests, or blazers

Shoes must be navy blue, black, or brown.
Shoes must be loafer style, dress shoes, tennis shoes, or closed-toe sandals.

Socks must be solid navy blue or white.
Tights and leggings worn underneath uniform bottoms must be solid white or navy blue.
P.E. Uniforms

Plain gray sweatshirts and sweatpants or official BECS gym uniform may be worn instead of school uniform.
