Kids of Hope, a new student group at Vista Charter Academy, recently joined forces with Vista’s administration team to count the funds that were raised for the various National Heritage Academies scholars who were impacted by Hurricane Florence.
Vista’s administrative team sponsored the event and the scholars spent their time counting the funds that were donated, totaling $700.
Kids of Hope was established last year by grade-level teachers. This is an elite after school leadership club for fourth- and fifth-grade students who have maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher and are high academic achievers in all core classes. These students also display role model behavior in the classroom.
Great work, scholars!
