On May 15, the staff, students, and PTO at Peak Charter Academy came together for a fun run/walk in honor of its K-2 Dean, Emily Adams, who has been on medical leave since February while she battles Lymphoma.
The PTO partnered with Ads N Art Screenprinting to design a special shirt for the event, with all proceeds above the actual cost of the shirt being donated by our PTO and Ads N Art directly to Dean Adams for her medical care.
Ads N Art also donated a large banner that students and staff in the K-2 wing signed, and many students and families made additional donations to her, as well.
"It was a great day to honor and celebrate an amazing person, and we look forward to having Emily back with us in August!" said Principal Steve Pond.
Last year, Greensboro Academy, where Mrs. Adams previously worked, held a $1 jean day to raise funds to help cover her medical costs.
