Mill Creek Celebrates Grand Opening of New School with Ribbon Cutting

The inaugural school year is quickly approaching at Mill Creek Academy. School leaders and members of the community came together for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 30 to celebrate the completion of the new school.

Jason Pater, interim president and CEO of National Heritage Academies shared: “What an exciting day for Mill Creek Academy. This ribbon cutting is the culmination of much hard work and marks the beginning of many successes to come. At National Heritage Academies, we know that education changes lives, and we are thrilled to partner with the school board to provide high-quality educational choice for the families of Waukesha.”
 
School leadership came together to celebrate the school’s opening. NHA Founder J.C. Huizenga, NHA Executive Director of School Quality Shawn Leonard, Mill Creek Academy School Board Vice President Brittany Brzenk, School Board President Kyle Koenen, Principal Joe Sellenheim, and Dean Kimberly Sadowski all helped cut the ribbon, marking the beginning of many great successes to come.

After the ribbon cutting, families were invited to tour the school and enjoy a treat from an ice cream truck on-site.
 
Mill Creek Academy will offer grades 4K-5 for the 2023-24 school year, with plans to add one grade per year through grade 8.
