Do you want to build a snowman? Kindergarten through fifth-grade students at Holly Park Academy enjoyed a special performance of Disney’s “Frozen” by the Midway Theatre Company in December.
Arendelle’s most lovable characters, including Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and Sven graced the stage and wowed students during their lively performance, featuring a singalong of the fan-favorite song “Let it Go.”
Midway Theatre believes they can produce quality theater while building up those who perform on stage. Part of their mission includes providing a chance for non-performers to participate in live theater by playing an instrument in the orchestra or working backstage. The group focuses on opportunities for the audience to interact with the performance as well.
Bringing the performance a bit closer to home, students were thrilled to learn that one of the actors in the performance was a former Holly Park Academy student!
Midway Theatre Company is a nonprofit organization that aims “to encourage people of all walks of life to use their talents on stage, behind the scenes or in the orchestra.” The group hopes to provide a light in what can be a dark world, giving people an opportunity to perform in an encouraging, loving environment.
The Frozen characters melted the hearts of the students and staff, creating a special, memorable performance. The students won’t be able to Let It Go for quite some time!
