Grand River Preparatory High School offers study abroad opportunities for our scholars. We believe that learning outside of the classroom brings education to life, it opens the door to new possibilties and unlocks untapped potential. Partnering with EF Tours, we have provided our students with several amazing educational vacations.

Past Educational Abroad Trips
Grand River Preparatory High School students, parents, and staff have taken several incredible trips across the globe. Check out some of the previous places we have visited below!
2017 - Costa Rica
Grand River Prep's first international trip was to experience the culture of Costa Rica! We spent eight days over Spring Break in 2017 visiting volcanoes, hot springs, beaches, zoos, Costa Rican high schools, and more.
2018 - Panama
A group of 17 students went to Panama in 2018 and explored the country while immersing themselves in the local culture. They spent eight days seeing both the city life and the rural countryside.
2019 - Peru
Students saw one of the seven wonders of the world, Machu Picchu, while learning all about the Peruvian culture. This was a summer exploration and included many different places around Peru.
2021 - The Alps and the Mediterranean Coast
COVID stopped a scheduled trip to Spain; however, six kids kept with the group once it was safe to travel again. We explored five different countries starting with Switzerland, traveling to Italy, Monaco, France, and ended in Spain.
2022 - Ecuador and the Galapagos
In Summer of 2022, a group of six students went to Ecuador and then flew to the Galapagos Islands. They stood on the actual equator and saw once in a lifetime wildlife on the islands. They even snorkeled over sharks!
2023 - Dominican Republic
During Spring Break of 2023, a group of Grand River Prep and Wellspring Prep students toured all around the Dominican Republic, starting in the southern region and working their way up to the northern region. They experienced the local culture and visited gorgeous beaches.
2024 - Italy
Summer of 2024 was spent in Italy! We spent the first few days exploring Milan and the Venice region, then headed to Florence and Rome for the remainder of the trip.
