Chandler Woods Charter Academy Hosts Fall Fun School Carnival

Chandler Woods Charter Academy recently played host to its annual Fall Fun School Carnival that served as a fundraiser for the school community.

Throughout the carnival, attendees enjoyed participating in fun and family-friendly festivities including games and prizes, scarecrow making, and a photo booth. Additionally, the carnival featured plenty of teacher-involvement with a soccer kick game, archery tag, and games and activities were staffed by students and parent volunteers. The carnival also included tasty food, including hot dogs, cider, donuts, Dippin Dots, and cotton candy, in addition to a chili cookoff.

“The carnival has been happening at Chandler Woods for many years,” said Sarah Zandstra, school ambassador at Chandler Woods. “Our school is very committed to family involvement.”

Students enjoyed spinning a treat wheel, getting their faces painted, climbing on hay bales, playing a pumpkin toss game, and pulling suckers from a sucker wall.

“The most important part of the Carnival is, of course, fun!” said Zandstra. “All of our fundraisers are family-based. We feel it is important to encourage quality family time with events like this one.”

The majority of games that were played at the carnival were made by the school’s former middle school students during their ‘theme week.’ These unique games have been used at Chandler Woods’ events over the past few years.

It was a gourd-geous fall day, and a great time was had by all!
