Capstone Academy Construction Progress

Capstone Academy is officially open! School leaders and community members came together for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 4 to celebrate the completion of our school, which is set to begin classes on August 13. Click here to read more about the ceremony!

We're finishing up work on the inside of the building, then construction at Capstone with be complete! The fire alarm was recently installed and the trim work is complete. Outside, we are currently working on the grass and landscaping. Soon, we'll be able to move the office into the building!

We have been busy paving the parking lots and getting the light poles installed. The fencing is up and the water, electric, and gas are on. Inside, we're currently working on finishing up polishing the floors and installing trim, and outside we're seeding grass. The final building inspections are coming up soon and furniture will begin arriving shortly!

Capstone’s playground is built and the grass is in! The outside finish, called EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System), is completely done. We’re still working on the low-voltage wiring, painting, and polishing the floors. Everything is moving along well, and we’re right on schedule!

Capstone Academy's contruction is progressing on schedule! The outside finish, called EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System), is about 99% done. Low voltage wiring is being installed, painting is ongoing, and we've started polishing the floors.


The interior insulation and drywall have been hung and are all set.

The roofing is completely finished!

The roofing is completely finished, and the building is fully dried in, so it's protected from the weather. We've got temporary heat running to keep things moving inside. The ceiling insulation and drywall are all set, and we're working on insulating the exterior walls. The outside finish, called EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System), is about 85% done. Gas and electric are installed, and we're getting ready to start polishing the floors. We're right on schedule and making great progress!

The concrete slab is near completion allowing the building crew to begin going vertical with wood framed construction. Onsite underground utilities are beginning to be installed and concrete curbing for the parking lot will begin soon. We are on schedule!

We broke ground on our building on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Capstone will be built by Roche Construction. Stay tuned to this page for regular monthly updates on our construction progress!
