In what has been noted as the largest turnout for a Back to School Bash in school history, scholars were able to pick out their own backpack and perused the many pencils, markers, folders, and paper options.
Senior Admissions Representative Rebecca Rehac said the connections made at the event will greatly benefit the school, scholars, and community.
“Northtown Toyota came with 10 volunteers from both service and sales as well as two representatives from the Kids in Need Foundation,” she said. “They were so incredibly nice and want to continue growing a partnership with BUCS.”
The Kids in Need Foundation has committed to equipping 60,000 students nationwide with essential school supplies through its Big Summer Giveback program.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Toyota for the third consecutive year,” said Corey Gordon, CEO of KINF. “This collaboration has been instrumental in creating a significant impact for thousands of students and teachers alike. This not only eases the burden on teachers, it also increases public awareness of the importance of creating equitable learning environments in our communities.”
Over the past three years, this partnership has generated cumulative donations exceeding $3.75 million, supporting over 140,000 students through Toyota’s Big Summer Giveback.
The smiles of the students told the story, as they all headed home with new backpacks and supplies, ready to start their school year.
