National Heritage Academies (NHA) celebrated its schools during the 2023 Leadership Summit with the annual Eagle Awards ceremony, created to recognize outstanding schools for their hard work.
The top honor of the night was awarded to Keystone Academy. The school was the winner of the Founder’s Award for Excellence in Moral Focus. Keystone has created a culture that embodies each Moral Focus virtue in what they say and do when interacting with parents, students, and staff.
“When we think about all of the moving parts and pieces that come together to create a teaching and learning environment in which everyone is engaged from teachers to students to parents, this school is truly living our mission to transform lives,” said interim NHA President and CEO Jason Pater.
Other finalists for the Founder’s Award included Great Oaks Academy, Legacy Charter Academy, Oakside Prep Academy, and Pembroke Academy.
Schools were also honored for categories including:
2022-23 EAGLE AWARD CRITERIA & WINNERS
PARENT SATISFACTION: Awarded to schools with at least 90% of parents satisfied (top two boxes) and at least a 50% response rate on the spring 2023 parent survey.
Taking Flight, was awarded to the top 5% of schools in each of the following categories for the greatest improvement:
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT: Awarded to the top 5% of schools with the greatest improvement on the Glint Employee Engagement Index from the fall to spring employee survey.
STUDENT ENROLLMENT: Awarded to the top 5% of schools with the greatest improvement in year-over-year count day enrollment, based on same-grade configurations.
PARENT SATISFACTION: Awarded to the top 5% of schools with the greatest improvement in the percent of parents highly satisfied from the fall to spring parent survey.
