Fourteen National Heritage Academies’ (NHA) partner-schools across Michigan and North Carolina were ranked as top 10 charter schools by Niche, an organization that specializes in data and rankings. A leader in education since its founding in 1995, NHA also saw 23 schools ranked in the top 25 of charter schools in the two states.
NHA claimed eight of the top 10 spots for charter elementary schools in Michigan and took nine of the top 10 spots for charter middle schools, as well. Three of NHA’s high schools were ranked in the top 10 for charter high schools in Michigan.
In North Carolina, Summerfield Charter Academy and Greensboro Academy both rank in the top 10 on the Best Charter Elementary and Middle Schools list.
NHA’s 2025 Best Charter Elementary Schools in Michigan:
Johnston Charter Academy and Peak Charter Academy were ranked in the top 20 on the Best Charter Elementary and Middle Schools list, totaling four NHA schools in the top 20 in North Carolina. Summerfield and Greensboro were ranked first and second among charter elementary and middle schools in the Greensboro area, while both Johnston and Peak were in the top 10 among charter elementary and middle schools in the Raleigh area.
