After years of watching the first group of kindergarten students matriculate through the grades, Peak Charter Academy’s Savannah Angel felt fortunate to have the opportunity to teach them sixth grade science.
Angel was recently honored as an Excellence in Teaching winner as part of the National Heritage Academies (NHA) Excellence Awards for the 2022-23 school year.
She spoke highly of the administration team at Peak, which she recently joined after being named dean of 5-8th grades.
“They have given me so many leadership opportunities and it has helped me grow tremendously as an educator,” she said. “I am so grateful to be a part of the Peak Charter Academy family.”
