Inspiring the professionals of tomorrow can be a big task, but it’s one that’s important to Brooklyn Scholars Charter School Principal Roxanne Thomas. The team at her school created an event called the Future Billionaire’s Brunch where scholars could get a look at promising occupations of the future.

Students rotated through stations to speak with a variety of local leaders in occupations like law enforcement, fashion design, music, and mental health therapy.

Students were able to ask questions, learn about the education they’d need to qualify for those roles, and learn about the daily activities involved.

“Parents who attended praised the event’s organization and impact, with many commenting on how engaging and inspiring the presentations were,” Thomas said. "The smiles and energy from both students and parents were a testament to the event’s success.”
