School leaders often concern themselves with the current needs of students, which is a great way to stay up to date on all the latest teaching techniques. Center Line Preparatory Academy Principal Veronica Kisor decided to take a moment to ponder what students might need in years to come.
With this in mind, she accompanied five of her students on a trip to get a first-hand look at a real college campus, Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
The seniors were able to tour the campus, stay in dorm rooms overnight, and experience some college social activities.
Kizor believes exposing students to different options is they key to helping them make decisions about their future.
“It's one thing to hear about the college experience or to hear somebody talk about it, but to actually live the life of a college student is different,” Kisor said.
An excellent way for students to preview their futures! Great work, Principal Kisor!
