NHA Schools Celebrate Reading Month
Published: Apr 04, 2024
Perhaps the busiest month of the year, December always proves to be challenging for schools. Students are excited about the coming holiday break and teachers work to keep them focused on the many things to learn before wrapping up the calendar year.
As we look back at December, we wanted to share some of our favorite stories from the month. The first is an introduction to six brand-new teachers at a brand new NHA school, Mill Creek Academy in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
The group, filled with fresh ideas and anticipation, are sharing their excitement for education with their students and have the opportunity to explore new teaching techniques as well. Fifth-grade teacher Sarah Parson felt empowered by fellow teachers and leadership at Mill Creek. She was encouraged to speak up with ideas she had.
“It was cool and reassuring that the things I learned in college are being applied to my job,” Parson said. “When I saw that, I felt more comfortable. The transition was seamless.”
That curiosity and desire to find the very best ways to educate our scholars is something that makes NHA schools rise above.
Below are a few more links to stories that exemplify the dedication and care NHA schools show for their students.
