Class of 2024: Center Line Prep’s De’onvion Byrd Left Slacking Behind, Put Success in Front
Published: May 30, 2024
Meet Amanda Hall, fifth-grade teacher at Summerfield Charter Academy. She has spent the last seven years of her teaching career working on becoming the best educator she can be, and she’s picked up some helpful tools along the way.
This talented and engaging educator has 14.5K followers on Instagram for her relatable and fun teaching-related content. Check out her account @fallingforfifth to see what she’s up to.
Mrs. Hall is also featured in multiple pieces of content in The Teachers' Lounge, National Heritage Academies’ (NHA) library of podcast episodes, videos, and blogs that support new and veteran teachers by sharing helpful tips and tricks on teaching-related topics. While the podcast is hosted by an NHA employee, the guests are the experts, which is why Mrs. Hall has been on three times.
“The Teachers' Lounge helps educators not feel alone in what they are going through,” said Mrs. Hall. “We’ve talked about a lot of important topics like classroom relationships, teacher prep, and even embarrassing moments! I think a lot of times teachers shut their classroom door and think they are the only ones feeling overwhelmed or unsure of what to do. When, in reality, we are all feeling it and it’s great to connect with others.”
Watch a preview of Mrs. Hall’s episode on Creating Relationships with Your Students or her episode on Teachers and Instagram. Her third episode on back-to-school tips will also come out soon. Watch her full episodes or catch her newest episode right once it comes out by subscribing to the Teachers' Lounge on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. You can also read her blog, “7 Ways to Create Relationships with Your Students”.
“I have really loved covering topics that are relevant and useful for teachers today,” said Mrs. Hall. “Teachers are doing more than they ever have before and it feels good to connect with others who are in the same boat as me.”
Keep up the amazing work, Mrs. Hall!
